Tell us about your business.

I’m a full-service remodeling contractor. My company is dedicated to providing all of our clients the absolute best in high-quality professional renovations. From the design process through the completion of the renovations themselves, we ensure that projects are completed with quality and efficiency. We do everything, but we specialize in kitchens and baths.

How did you get started in business?

I’ve been in business for more than 18 years, but I’ve been doing this on and off my whole life. It was something my father and grandfather did, and I was actually determined not to do it … but here I am. And I’m glad I’m here.

Why do homeowners choose you? What sets your business apart?

All of our trades are in-house, which is unusual. This is what I’m most proud of; it’s what sets us apart. It’s the single greatest thing that I have going for me. Most of my guys have been with me for over 10 years. Our customers know our crew by name, and my guys feel like they have their name on the work. They put in their heart and soul. I couldn’t do what I do without them.

What trends do you see in home design and remodeling?

The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that houses are being built differently. Now it’s about an open concept. People want big center islands and family rooms off of the kitchen. It’s about taking a house and turning it into a home that can service all of your family needs.

What brings you the most satisfaction in your work?

Over the last four to five years I’ve found myself walking into finished projects, amazed that I own a company that can produce this quality of work. For example, we had a customer who took a picture of a bar in Japan. My guys produced it here, and it’s spot on.

Describe a recent project you’re particularly proud of. What made it so satisfying?

We’ve got four to five big projects going right now. I like them all.

What’s the most valuable benefit of being a ProSource Wholesale Member?

These guys really help. We have an account manager, Linda, who knows our business. She takes care of my customers, expedites orders, and lets me know when things will be shipped and when they will arrive. That’s really key to have someone who actually cares about when things will get there and who lets me know. That’s the kind of stuff that you don’t get from the average hardware or flooring company.

If I walk into ProSource, I get to see every brand line in one location, instead of having my customers go into lots of stores. That’s huge.

ProSource Wholesale cares about how I do business, and they work around that. For example, if my customers go into another supply store and find something they want, ProSource will find it for me. If they don’t have it, they’ll get it. Nobody else does that.
