This kitchen remodeling project called for the removal of all the old cabinets, appliances and flooring. A wall between the formal living room and kitchen was opened to give both the kitchen and living area a more specious look and feel; what some call a more “open concept”. All new lighting helps extenuate the ceramic backsplash and stainless appliances, including a custom, supper quiet, vent hood with additional stove top lighting. The natural porcelain “wood-like” tile, similar to some Marazzi styles give the floor a natural water and wear resistance that is so necessary in busy kitchens. The wall and base cabinets are a full overlay Shaker style done in a dark satin stain to provide a lovely contrast to the floor’s light stone color as well as to make the counter tops’ white marble “pop”.
