A young, newly married couple wanted to open up their entertaining space and have a gourmet kitchen. They liked things clean, neat and uncluttered, so our material choices centered on white and gray. Their previous dark kitchen did not allow for more than one cook and the layout was functional, but very tight. The new kitchen plan vaulted the ceilings, opened up the wall into the family room and took some space from an adjacent laundry room. It is not not only beautiful, but very functional. Quartz countertops, subway tiles and marble mosaics created the pristine feel that the couple wanted. The soft gray cabinets brought in a subtle touch of color to the space. The open, light-filled kitchen is everything they hoped it would be.
