The main goal in this project was to create flow and harmony between the kitchen, dining room and living room. The old kitchen was sectioned off and lacked counter space. Since our clients cooked daily, we definitely took that into consideration when planning the new layout. We incorporated many places for storage which helped maximize the space and functionality. Dish pegs, Lazy Susan, and a hidden garage spice rack were installed to increased storage and, to the benefit of our clients, helped with organization and minimized the search for items. We added a banquette that is used for primary seating. Keeping with the space and functionality theme, the banquette also includes storage and brightens up the room even more. Since we opened the layout, natural lighting was improved greatly. A sliding door was installed to bring a more updated appearance while allowing in more light.
