A combination of custom cabinetry and off the shelf units were used for the built-in screen and media center in this theater room. The media cabinets were purchased off the shelf and stacked with a custom fill piece between them to accommodate built-in speakers. The center storage cabinets were custom built and stained to match the media cabinets, with housing for a sub-woofer speaker in the middle and crown mold trimming entirely built-in. There was a ceiling soffit around the perimeter of the walls to run wires and cables, as well as house can lights with additional light sconces on the walls. The rear half of room was slightly elevated for an unobstructed view for the reclining theater chairs with chilled beverage holders.
