This high-end kitchen update has lifted the pervading darkness and low contrast, retaining its classically-detailed cherry cabinetry. Bright light from the eastern exposure greatly challenged morning food prep and lighting at the island was absent. Soothing neutrals in glass mosaic tile, granite, bronze, earthy textiles and a custom banquette provide continuity and new life.
