We "upscaled" a tract-style kitchen to new heights. Our transitional approach complemented the home's stone facade and colonial layout. We opted for a solid backsplash in polished, Mystery White marble--and used the same on the island. The look is far from stodgy, and the backsplash is easier to keep clean and new looking.
Other contemporary twists to traditional finishes, such as an Absolute Black, flame-finished granite perimeter countertop, brushed nickel-finished lighting in industrial and traditional styles, and a bronze, silver and black Brazilian tile render this kitchen timeless.
