We took an older home and opened everything up. It had an existing soffit, which ran through the kitchen into the master bathroom and the daughter's bedroom, an older kitchen, and a master with small space and cabinets that had been painted. We removed a few walls and the popcorn ceilings throughout. Then we installed new travertine tile floors in a Versailles pattern at the kitchen and hallways, which really opens up all the spaces.
