About Stephanie
I have been practicing interior design in the Austin area since 2001. In 2014, I decided to take the plunge and go full time in my gifting. When I heard the Holy Spirit say “This is the last chance to do what I called you to do.” This mandate was scarier than my fear of not having a fulltime job. I have not looked back. It’s very few people that have an opportunity to live they're calling on their life.
Stephanie Sullivan Interior Designs was born out of the need for transitions. At the beginning of my journey to Interior Design, I went from marriage to divorce. I was raising small children that are now college graduates. At each stage, home functioned differently. Therefore, I have a passion for those in transitions. I design for SPACE * HOME * LIFE. My design firm is primarily a ministry. When we as creatives are gifted to do something that we have no formal training, it’s a ministry; It's in my DNA.
I graduated from Jackson State University, Jackson, MS, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. I am an Associate member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). I served on the board of the Texas Chapter of ASID as the Financial Chair. While employed with Heather Scott Home and Design as the Lead Merchandiser, the boutique earned recognition as the winner of the ARTS award for Best Home Accents Store mid-west/south-west and Top 50 Retail Star.
After spending seventeen years in corporate America honing my skills in Insurance Adjusting, Commercial Project Management Furniture Sales and Interior Design. It has been a seamless transition to assist clients who are reinventing their SPACE * HOME* LIFE.
Eager to set herself apart in the design industry, I refined skills in residential and commercial design, which includes project managing and Furniture, Fixture and Equipment (FF&E) for the Girl Scouts of Central Texas $3.1M, Plaza De Cortez Commercial Offices $3.5M, Anderson Oaks Apartment Complex $4.6M and Monte Vista Condominiums Models. My highest honor to date has been the opportunity to assist my church with FF&E; Greater Mount Zion Church, Austin, TX., a new build of $14M. I love residential and commercial design equally. We are all servants, and I serve through my gift of Interior Design.
