Help for trade professionals: What are some guidelines for creating a project title?

Project titles should entice viewers to look at the images and read about the project. Think of it like a book title. Be descriptive and creative at the same time, allowing your project to stand out. Avoid simply naming your project after the room – be exciting. You’ll want to do this in a concise manner, though, as titles should be limited to 50 characters.

Once published, your project is visible to all visitors to the site. Due to some privacy issues, here are a few things to avoid in your project title:

  • Trade professional member’s name (individual or business)
  • Homeowner’s name (last, full or business)
  • Homeowner’s full address (only street name or subdivision are OK)
  • Homeowner or trade professional’s city (if different than the showroom)
